How To Use Paytm Like A Boss: Here Are A Bunch Of Cool Things Paytm's App Wallet Lets You Do
Thanks to improvements in technology over the years, most of us have
officially graduated beyond paper money, except in cases like taking a
taxi, or shopping at the local kirana.
However, there might be some of you (or your parents) still mystified by
how Paytm works, so we’ve got a quick primer to help you out.

Adding money:-
How to use Paytm? Very simple. You download the app and create an
account for yourself. This is tied to your phone number, so you’re going
to need it on hand to verify payments you make, and you also have to
connect a bank account you can transact with either online or through a
debit/credit card. Once that first part is done, you need to make sure
you put money into your Paytm wallet. It functions basically like a
virtual wallet you carry around with you, so just tap ‘Add Money’ on the
app’s home screen and enter the amount.

Transacting with other Paytm users:-
Paying or receiving payments from other people is pretty simple too. All
you need is either the recipient’s mobile number or their unique QR
code, located within the app. To send a payment, simply type in the
number or scan the QR code from the ‘Pay’ section of your app and enter
the amount. And while the QR code might seem a little redundant it does
certainly come in handy. After all, if you’re going to be receiving
money from someone once and you’re not comfortable sharing your phone
number, you can just screenshot your QR code and send it to them, so
they can scan it from their image gallery (which is an option in-app).

Putting money in the bank:-
Just like you put money from your account into your Paytm wallet, you
can also withdraw and transfer back everything there. Tap on the
‘Passbook’ icon on your app’s home screen and select ‘Send money to
Bank’. All you need is the amount, the person’s name and and account
number, and their IFSC code.
How to use Paytm to pay the bills:-
It’s also possible to pay a bunch of your home bills on Paytm, including
those for electricity, your landline, DTH, data card, Broadband and
more. You can even complete prepaid and postpaid payments for your cell
phone connection here.
How to use Paytm to buy every kind of ticket:-
You may not have realised, but Paytm also lets you buy tickets for
movies on its platform. In fact, you can even find tickets to cricket
matches, concerts, comedy nights, and much more. And maybe the event you
want to get to is out of town? Well no worries, you can find train,
bus, and flight tickets here too.
How to use Paytm to get your shopping fix:-
The platform also acts a self-contained ecommerce portal, with pretty
much everything from clothing, to bikes, to kitchen tools. You can reach
this from the app as usual, but you could also do this on the desktop
website. And yes, Paytm has a website with all the capabilities of the
app, though the shopping centre is hosted at a different URL.
